New Expansion Underway!

Sofia and I have been working hard to bring additional capacity and amenities to The Sunset Ranch!  Recently, we started working on a previously uncharted section in the back 400 (back 400 feet, that is) to bring our second camper to the ranch.  Once this has been completed, this will provide additional luxury camping to the resort.

We’re hoping to have this completed before the end of November, 2020.  Until then, there is still some work that remains to be done, such as trimming back some hanging branches and removing a rather large stump in order to get the camper to its new permanent location.

We’ll post some photos as they become availble.  Until then, here is a picture of a squirrel.

Campground Expansion

We’re please to announce the latest expansion to our world class camping area at Sunset Ranch!  As you can see in the photo below, this new addition is some amount wide by another amount long which will fit so many campers comfortably!

Along with the expanded camping area, all of our guests are welcome to the following amenities at no additional costs:

  • Yards and yards of onsite hiking and nature trails.
  • Visit the ancient burial grounds of the famous “Balaloo”.
  • Come and see the stars like you’ve never seen them  before, or at least probably not in a long time.  Star tracking telescope available sometimes.
  • Free firewood.  Just pick it off the ground, just be careful you do not pick a cactus by accident!
  • Free souvenir rocks.  These rocks have been painstakingly created and meticulously preserved by God for thousands and thousands of years.  Take as many as you please to give as gifts or just to share with your friends.  Let them know you were thinking of them during your stay with us!

Space is limited, so contact us today to reserve your site.  We’ll be waiting for you!

Welcome to Sunset Ranch!

Welcome to Sunset Ranch!  We took this photo on Sept. 21st, 2018, the day we closed on our land.  At the time, the only means to access the land was by a gravel road.  There were no power lines, neighbors and cell phone reception was spotty at best.  Even so, the one thing that grabbed our attentions was the view and with this on our hearts, we’ve committed to building our forever home here.
